Welcome to Healing

Meditations

Meditation is for everyone. Meditation is just sitting or laying quietly and either clearing your mind or allowing someone to guide your thoughts through relaxation, healing, or other guided inner journeys of empowerment.

Meditation is a key element in how I care for myself.

I have heard from so many people that mediation is hard to get into. It sure can be. The easiest way to get into the practice of calming your body is to do a ‘body scan’ meditation. Here is a fantastic 3-minute body scan meditation. Also, all of the apps at the bottom of this page offer free body scan meditations that you can use daily.

In addition to body scans, I’ve use many different techniques. In January 2016, I learned Transcendental Meditation (TM) which made a tremendous difference in my life and helped me deal with insufferable people or situations.

I have also learned techniques from Dr. Joe Dispenza, a celebrated self-healer and meditation master. I read his book Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself and followed the recommended meditations via the companion CD. The experience was incredible, and to this day I still return to his guided meditations to work on specific challenges and goals.

I also enjoy several guided meditation masters on YouTube.com. Each of these masters provide meditations focusing an a whole host of different topics. This allows you to focus your practice on specific needs and goals each day. I occasionally use apps too. You can find links to YouTube sites and apps below.

Try to meditate for at least 3-5 minutes each day then find longer meditations as you see fit.

Keep in mind that there is no magic to meditation. The more you do it the easier it becomes. Start small and stay consistent.
