Is Pain your Identity?

Is Pain your Identity?

When pain and suffering have become a big part of our lives we can start to believe that pain is the only reality available to us.

Don’t get comfortable with your pain.

Don’t get comfortable with the idea that you’re a victim.

Don’t believe that you have to suffer.

Don’t be afraid to heal.

We are all here to heal from something.

Or A LOT of things.

I’ve been doing this work for 30 years and I’m still not done.

I have had to deal with the personal and social fallout of healing and growing and moving on several times.

From both physical and emotional healing.

Each time has been worth it. (Oh so worth it!)

But it can seem scary at first – downright terrifying.

Shift your fear into being excited about the opportunity to redefine yourself and your life to be the person that was trapped in your heart for too long.

Come out and be you.

The healthy and happy you that loves life again.

Good people want the healed you to show up.

We are here to cheer you on and encourage your path to full health and recovery.

Don’t get trapped in a pain identity.

There are people who perversely prefer for you to stay in your pain.

Because they can’t heal their own.

Misery loves company.

Release your pain identity.

Ghost those people who indulge in your suffering.

Don’t ruin your healing process to placate your own fears or the fears of others.

Don’t worry about moving forward.

You’ll be judged accordingly and through that process you’ll see who your real friends are.

Be your best friend and say to yourself what you’d say to your bestie.

It’s scary to be positive and take a step forward but once you do it you’ll find that support pops up from unexpected places.

You will be supported on your journey to wellness.

You will.

The more you do it the easier it gets.

Don’t be afraid to take even the smallest step forward to take care of yourself.

When you take the chance and do the work life will continually surprise you with deep relief, unexpected lightness of heart, and blessings.

Trust the process.
